The Mechanics of Prayer

Prayer means many different things to many different people.  It is something that is so pervasive in our lives that it permeates fully through our societies and cultures.  All cultures and religious traditions have their own practices when it comes to prayer, but let us acknowledge the similar theme.  People all over the world right now are praying, to influence their world and the universe in myriad ways.  But what factors determine the effectiveness of prayer, what is the fundamental basis of its function?  How does it work to influence our daily lives and shape our world?

Prayer is our divine and innate connection with the fabric of reality, the way that we write our free will upon the world.  To completely examine the nature of prayer we must look at it through various lenses and perspectives, involving spirituality and science, to find the common factors that describe this ancient tradition.

To better understand the mechanics of prayer, let us view it through the Quantum lens.  A crucial part of Quantum physics, Warner Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle dictates that we can only measure where a particle is, or how fast it is moving.  The act of measuring one of these quantities actually increases uncertainty in the other.  What this means is that energy exists as a wave when unobserved, and as a particle when we measure observe it in a location.  Observation is the action that separates a particle into either state.  But what is the particle when it is not being observed?

Waves in Quantum are actually waves of probability, where everything exists as a formless potentia throughout which any possible outcome can arise.  Consciousness interacts with the infinite potentia to create and collapse the world around us into what we call our reality.  But our true reality lies within the infinite, as parts of the all connected unitive consciousness of energy.  Every particle and atom in the universe is born from the same infinite miasma, and as such, absolutely everything in the universe is one.

The focus of prayer does not need to be directed outward to an external source, it needs to be directed inwards, into our own personal connection with the source.  By actively focusing our consciousness, we collapse the wave function of energies, and we consciously create the universe around us.  We have stumbled through Quantum theory to finally come to the conclusion that its fundamental function works exactly as prayer does.  But with this new foundation in mind, let us examine prayer in its current state.

But to focus our energy is more than just naming the new reality or possibility, it requires complementing it with thought, feeling, and belief.  To influence the fabric of existence, we must consciously create with our intent.  Prayers are more than just reciting words and chants, it is to be done with feeling, with purpose, and with intent.  The combination and arrangement of words isn’t what makes prayer powerful, but what comes from our hearts.  By feeling and making a vibration, we send that wave out to influence the infinite probabilities and possibilities in the universe.

Intent and strong feeling are the ways that we create our vibration, and manage the frequency of our wave.   Every feeling, mindset, emotion, and thought has a corresponding coherent wave pattern that propagates outward into the fabric of the universe.  As it moves through the infinite potential energy, it creates further waves and ripples, and influences all of the energy it comes into contact with.  When praying, our intent and pure emotion are the catalysts that actually shape the universe around us, that collapse all of the waves into existence, into reality.  We create and shape the world around us with simple, natural, human feelings.

But the caveat from Heisenberg again is that we can influence the wave with our energy, but when we observe it collapses.  In prayer, if we are so tied up and entangled with our intent, trying to observe our reality and call it into existence at the same time, we make the energy collapse.  Intent fails if we are attached to the outcome of our prayers, for the energy cannot occupy both states; we can know it as wave/vibration or as particle/location due to uncertainty.  The most important part of effective prayer and manifesting is to be free of attachment to the outcomes, so that your vibration and intent are not interfered with by observation.

The ego mind plays the biggest role in attaching to the outcomes, as it is focused upon controlling the ‘how’ of the universe, or the particular way and pattern the energy expresses itself.  But we cannot bend the universe to our will; we can work with it to influence and shape the expression of its energy.  Instead of wishing, hoping for something to come to pass, we must instead be and feel the vibration that we wish to experience, that we wish to send out and influence the rest of the universe.  One must feel, completely and wholly, that an intent or outcome already exists in the universe, is already happening.  By surrounding ourselves with our new reality, our present reality grows to encompass the new vibration.

With this new glimpse at the mechanics of prayer, we see people all around the world, whether knowingly or unknowingly, constantly shape their daily existence.  The universe is made of energy, and to better understand and interact with it, we need to only speak in its language; emotion.  Prayer molds the medium, and paints the picture of the world around us.  We simply need to be the vibration, be the wave, and be the change in the world that we want to see.  We aren’t waiting for the world to change, it is already happening, right now, in each moment.   As we all consciously focus our awareness, intent, and emotion to call forth the vibrations and the energy we wish to experience in our universe.

  4. Dear Adam,
Thanks for all you are and do…now, aboyt “Prayer”

    You say:
“When praying, our intent and pure emotion are the catalysts that actually shape the universe around us, that collapse all of the waves into existence, into reality. We create and shape the world around us with simple, natural, human feelings….

The most important part of effective prayer and manifesting is to be free of attachment to the outcomes, so that your vibration and intent are not interfered with by observation.”

The key is to be aware of the different meaning that people give to the word “prayer”…

In order not to “collapse the wave equation” you should not make a narrow definitive choice…

My understanding of “prayer” is “trust” that the best possible outcome will be manifested.
This does not dependent on my limited human expectations.

Therefore “prayer” is only expressed as “Lord, help us and protect us…we trust the Blessings…and we accept, respect and care, for ourselves and for all manifestation”

This is an ‘open end’ kind of prayer that avoids to ‘collapse the wave equation’
On the contrary, some prayers involve ‘asking’ for a ‘red Toyota’.

This is what you want to say; something like ‘to pray rain’ ( I feel my feet wet) not to pray ‘for’ rain…
As this topic is so important, could I stimulate you on writing a new article on “prayer” ?

    Thanks for your patience!

Hi Antonietta, thank you for your beautiful thoughts and words.

The use of what you like to call ‘open ended’ prayers is excellent. One of my personal favorites is ‘show me what I need to see.’ In this manner, the common element in both of these is trust, as you say, knowing that our limited human senses and awareness cannot begin to fathom the infinite myriad of complex forces and factors present in any given moment.

Knowing that all is following the Way, trusting in the highest harmonious development of All That Is makes this all possible.

Let me clarify ‘collapsing the wave function.’ This occurs whenever we experience a physical reality. When you use your broad spectrum prayer, or ‘open ended’ in your words, you still are collapsing the wave function, yet the specifics of the state you are leaving up to the universe.

You stated that “In order not to “collapse the wave equation” you should not make a narrow definitive choice.” Allow me to clarify if I may. In order not to interfere with the collapse of the wave equation into a particular state, whether it be specific or broad, we should not be attached to the outcome that we wish to experience. We do indeed trust, and ask so with love in our hearts and for the greatest good of All That Is.

We can still exude the intent of the highest harmony of the universe even when we get more specific with the details of manifestation. Having a very clear and defined intent does not necessarily entail attachment, although we perhaps do have a tendency to be more attached to the details surrounding our immediate state of being.

I would love to do a follow up on prayer, thank you for your perspectives and your thoughts. With love and gratitude.

      Adam

      • Thank you Adam, will think about the details you mention…hope you forgive my bad English, I am Italian and did live in Venezuela for many years, but now I am Canadian..so my brain has a lot of language-mix…interesting sometimes!
        Have a wonderful New Year!
        Love!

      • Quantum and Relativity
        Dear Adam,
In Physics we must distinguish Einstein’s theory from Quantum theory.
We know that they are incompatible.

I current terms we can say that Einstein deals with Energy trapped in matter E=mc2 and the practical demonstration is the atomic bomb -> when we release the energy that bounds the atom together we release the energy and kill thousands.
On the contrary the Energy Schrödinger talks about is “negative entropy” a completely FREE energy. It is the same free energy of distant communication between entangled particles (non local communication) (that Einstein could never accept).

Therefore, quantum and relativity deal with different aspects of something we usually call “Reality”. One is the macroscopic universe; the other is the subtle ‘Akashic’ universe.
-One is about Energy already located in matter, or ‘matter as the manifestation of frozen energy’ and therefore has a “speed” limit (c2).
-The other, Quantum, is the aspect of infinite possibilities because it is subtle free energy at the level of photons, but nobody ever has “seen” a photon. We know that they exist and we have tested that “non local communication between entangled particles” is a reality (and because all is One, all is entangled and therefore all is communicating ‘non-locally’) and therefore has no “speed” limitation.

But, in ordinary language we cannot confuse the levels of Quantum and the level of ‘negative entropy’ with Einstein’s Relativity.

Take the example of the “Cat”. Until we open the door the cat has the ‘probability of being alive or dead’. The fact that the cat is a “form” physically in the box is not discussed. Only the ‘probability’ that the container with the poison got broken or not is what we do not know. Because, we deal with a probability of the ‘status’ of an agent, we may find a dead or alive cat.
But we do not have any doubt about the physical presence of the cat nor of the physical presence of the container of the poison.
What we do not know is the interference of the poison with the negative entropy that kept the cat alive. This is a very subtle level of information that is revealed by the cat being dead or alive.

Note: here we are not discussing the “measurement problem”. The measurement problem comes about only in Quantum when the “intention” of the experimenter interferes with the results at the quantum level that may manifest in the lab settings as visible aspects. But only in the lab settings, only at quantum level!

A practical example: 1.We know that the Everest came to be because of two tectonic plates colliding…2. The double slit experiment is related to the behavior of photons.
These are two tested statements; we cannot confuse the one with the other.

So, we have Einstein’s world that has been tested and the particle/wave world that has been tested.
Our task is to accept both as ‘real’ as find how we can deal with both in our practical life.

And here comes the importance of “PRAYER”.
At the different levels of meditation we can deal with several levels of “reality”. Most people have difficulty understanding this aspect that links both meditation and prayer.

        This is all for today!

    Excellent Antonietta!

The largest hindrance when it comes to the melding of different languages and philosophies is, of course, language. In as such, I don’t prescribe to any particular, singular philosophy, but build a complete picture out of all of the information at hand.

From my perspective, both Einstein’s relativity and quantum are flawed, but for different reasons. Einstein’s topology of space-time does not include spin, and therefore the quantum aspect is missing from his model, due to its classical nature. Quantum is amazing in its description of wave functions, diffraction patterns, and the probability density of potential forms that it may take, which I see as the specific location/description/information of a state in space-time. Yet, it is background dependent, what you like to refer to as ‘negative entropy,’ and doesn’t account for gravity.

I believe that the macrocosm and the microcosm are exactly the same, and that a scaling factor exists that connects all levels of being/information states in an unbroken flow. The energy that Einstein discusses in the classical sense is the same free energy as in quantum, what I like to refer to as zero potential energy. The difference is that Einstein discusses the energy when it has form, while quantum discusses the energy without form. This comes back to a measure of perspective, the orientation of observation, which once again returns to intent and choice.

The quantum nature of being is inherent at every level of existence, discrete packets of information have various diffraction patterns and can take infinite form. Again, the intention doesn’t interfere with the results, the intention is what dictates the results. The attachment to a particular state is what intereferes with the results. Granted, outside of the lab setting many more variables are present, but this does not mean that quantum still does not apply.

I see the structure of space-time to be a torus composed of a double phi spiral that has both orientations. This allows for quantum units, which is the Planck length, is background-free, and allows for the causal structure of space-time. The structure of the universe is holographic in nature, where the information is coded in 2D and projects into 3D. At the center of this model is a geometric relationship between all energy that is responsible for gravity and all forms to arise. The fulcrum of creation is choice.

Check out Nassim Haramein if you have not heard of him. I always love when I formulate my own model and follow my intuition only to then find another person doing the same thing and coming to the same conclusions.

    Ciao for now Antoinetta!

    • afrancini says:

      Hi Adam,

This is getting difficult! I went to see a video of Nassim to try to understand better what you mean and got all screwed upnow I am really lost.

We started with prayer and are getting into Mayans, estraT, mixed up with quantum and a spray of Einsteinit is a heavy meal for new year!

It is fun altogether, but I rather start all over again with a light vegetable soup

Lets keep our main topic to be prayer. What are we addressing?

      – First, do you agree that all is Cosmic Consciousness? – Second, what is the importance of dark-energy+dark-matter that are all pervasive and we pretend to ignore them?

I repeat a very simple introduction (please do not call me boring, I see you know a lot, but we dont want to loose the tree for looking at the forest!)

We must distinguish Einsteins theory from Quantum theory.

We know that they are incompatible.

In current terms we can say that Einstein deals with Energy trapped in matter E=mc2 and the practical demonstration is the atomic bomb -> when we release the energy that bounds the atom together we kill thousands.

On the contrary the Energy Schrdinger talks about is negative entropy a completely FREE energy. It is the same free energy of distant communication between entangled particles (non local communication) (that Einstein could never accept).

Therefore, quantum and relativity deal with different aspects of something we usually call Reality.

-One is about Energy already located in matter, or matter as the manifestation of frozen energy and therefore has a speed limit (c2).

-The other, Quantum, is the aspect of infinite possibilities because it is subtle free energy at the level of photons, but nobody has seen a photon. We know that they exist from the double slit experiment and because we have tested that non local communication between entangled particles is a reality (and given that ALL is One Consciousness, all is entangled and therefore all is communicating non-locally) and therefore has no speed limitation.

      Here comes my specific question:

In other words, the energy of which Einstein talks about is the energy intrinsic to matter (or about 0.4 % of the entire universe). It is the energy binding the nucleus of the atom (proton and neutron).

The energy that the electron uses to jump from one level to the other is free energy, not the one that binds matter.

*First QUESTION: IS Quantum energy the free energy ALSO called Dark-Energy; the one that science cannot get to understand? *

      *Quantum=Dark energy?*

Personally, I just like the intuition that the flow of manifestation goes:

      -.> Existence -> Life-Consciousness-> Manifested-Perfection

(as the un-manifested that becomes manifest)

From this comes the second question.for next time.

      Thanks!

      Happy New Year!

      Antonietta

      • wanderlustcr says:

        Hey Antonietta,

The separation and distinction that you place upon quantum adn relativity come from the particular language barriers that surround each idea. It is not either or, but both at the same time. This is the fundamental paradox of duality that lies at the heart of the universe. Two opposing forces that instead of annihilating each other, they meld and integrate. The universal topological model of the torus as a dual toroid composed by the double phi spiral of creation and growth, these two polar opposites, is the pattern that is expressed at every level. It is based upon the geometry between intersecting points in space-time, where every possible possibility of information is expressed, created within the all-encompassing globe of unity, of All That Is Here and Now.

The energy that Einstein talks about is the same free energy, yet is has a much lower vibration. The particles have condensed due to the spectrum of vibration in which they occupy. The atoms in matter and energy are the same free energy, but they have congregated, crystallized into form based upon the environmental influences present upon it (i.e. intent, external forces, etc). We know that energy is released when particles undergo fission, and we know that the process of fusion is exponentially more effective. The energy that is pure information at the 2D level, the wave forms, the diffraction patterns, the probability density, will holographically project into 3D space-time, giving us the experience of our current reality.

Based upon our perception, our choices, our definition and interpretation of the state of our universe, we alter, change, and create it. All beings of consciousness are constantly co-creating the reality that we inhabit at an infinite number of layers and levels, all connected by a universal scale of magnitude that is expressed by quanta. Thing of octaves in music, of resonance, of coherent vibration, of harmony.

With regard to your question of Dark-energy or dark matter, I believe that this was a concept that was invented as the result of a flawed initial hypothese or numeric formula. The formula and model did not have a factor to account for this aspect of reality, so a new concept was invented to balance the equation. Basically, the current paradigm still doesn’t have an answer for the integration of quantum and gravity, and dark matter was there attempt to reconcile the two. Currently studies have failed to conclusively confirm the presence of dark matter, and a study just completed at a huge dark matter research facility, the Sanford Underground Research Facility. Their idea of what is responsible for gravity and dark matter are called WIMPs, weakly interacting mass particles. Yet absolutely no record of any were found, when the amount predicted by the model was over 1500.

Occam’s Razor presides, the simplest answer holds the truth. Geomtery is the key, a relationship between the amount of quantum information on the inside of a particle versus that on the outside surface. The philosophy behind number, music, geometry, cosmology, astrology should all align as they are expression of the same infinite beingness at every level. For me, this is the torus and the double phi spirals, a holo-fractalgraphic universe, regulated by choice and emotion. Hence, unconditional love is the most effective and highest vibration that we can choose to emanate, choose to experience, and choose to be!

      • afrancini says:

Dear Adam, YES! YES! This is wonderful, I agree 100%, everything you say is clear to me and perfect…I also suspected that there is one Consciousness, one Energy…only ONE Manifested Essence…it is the teaching of Vedanta… One LIVING ETERNITY!…and we are co-creators! So, That’s what Prayer is! I needed a confirmation, as all is so confused in the details of ‘science’ !

Now, the torus you are talking about, is it the same described in Bentov’s “Stalking the Wild Pendulum”? (1977) or should I read some updated book? You say: “the torus and the double phi spirals, a holo-fractalgraphic universe”…I am familiar with all Greg Braden, Chaos theory, Fractals, Sacred Geometry (by Robert Lawlor and by Michael Schneider) I love Amit Goswami and have all his books…does the double phi spiral refers to all the studies about DNA?

Great! Thank you! You have answered my main questions and I am very happy about that! Thank you for your patience! With LOVE! Antonietta

      • afrancini says:

        Hi,

I did a search about “the torus as a dual toroid composed by the double phi spiral ” Got lots of info, will examine that…Then let you know!

        Thanks! Antonietta

      • afrancini says:

        Hi Adam,

I went into the Torus and double spiral. My Left brain said: Correct, I understand the general idea then, my Right brain said: Do you think that a universal universe does exist? What would be the answer of someone in Bangladesh?

Then, I put both side of the brain together and got this answer: At the moment, on this planet there are seven billion universes, each individual lives and constantly creates for him/herself the unique universe that fits the experience of life. For this reason we have difficulty understanding each other; some basic assumptions are different, but we have never experienced the assumptions on which the other bases his/her conclusions.

Yes! It is interesting to examine different points of view, but we must be generous and admit that there are many points of view!

Going back to prayer: we address That Essence that makes each Universe possible.

        Thanks for sharing!

        Love! maf
